SOME Desk collects nothing from the app. There is no account, and there is no server.

Your screen, your keystrokes, your microphone. When your iPad shows your Mac, the picture, the sound and everything you type and click travel between your two devices. They are encrypted, and they do not pass through us — we do not operate a server that could see them, and we could not read them if we did.

Pairing. Your Mac and your iPad remember each other by a key stored on each device. Those keys never leave the devices. You can remove a pairing at any time from SOME Desk Host’s menu on the Mac.

Crash reports. The iPad app reports crashes to Apple, the way every App Store app can, and Apple shows them to us without your name attached. On the Mac, SOME Desk Host can gather a diagnostic file for you if you ask it to — it saves that file on your Mac and shows it to you. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you send it yourself.

Buying it. Apple handles the purchase. We never see your payment details, and we do not receive a list of who bought the app.

This website. We count visits so we know whether anything we wrote is working. The analytics we use sets no cookies and does not follow you between sites, and we do not sell or share anything it records. There is no analytics in the app, and there never will be.

Our mailing list. If you give us your email address for release notes, it is used for release notes. Nothing else, and you can leave in one click.

Email. If you email support, we have your email and whatever you told us, for as long as it takes to help you and a reasonable while after in case you write again. Ask us to delete it and we will.

Children. SOME Desk is a tool for using your own Mac. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes. If this page ever has to say something less absolute than it says today, the changelog will say so on the day it changes, and the date below will move.
